By the way, there is an optional resource, an updated BLS Summary handout which may be viewed online or downloaded. It is available on the BLS Handouts and Resources page of this website, found under the 'Classes' tab.
So, how long does the Online Course take, anyway?
Please Note: The HeartCode BLS Online Course is not a last minute project
Students have reported taking anywhere from 1 to 3 hours to complete the online course. It is helpful that work may be saved so it does not have to be done all at one time.
Some students are reporting even longer time frames due to having to retake the e-learning scenarios. Be sure and also allow time to set up an account. If questions or problems arise with the HeartCode BLS online course the provider will need to be contacted:
American Heart Association Customer Service 1-800-AHA-USA-1 1-800-242-8721
Too, beware of online glitches that could cause the website to be unavailable at points. So, for a number of reasons it is recommended that students plan ahead and not wait until the last minute to do this portion of their work.
